NAVFAC MIDLANT Awards $271.2M Construction Contract for USCG Offshore Patrol Cutter Homeport Pier in Newport, RI

From Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic Public Affairs

NORFOLK, VA – Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT) awarded Skanska USA Civil Northeast Inc., Waltham, MA, a $271.2 million firm-fixed price contract for construction services for a U.S. Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter Homeport Pier at Naval Station Newport in Rhode Island.

Work will be performed on the installation and is anticipated to be completed by March 2030.

The maximum dollar value, including the base price and four options, is $271,226,000. Fiscal year (FY) 2022 Major Acquisition Systems Infrastructure and FY2025 One, Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), Department of Homeland Security, Coast Guard funding in the amount of $271,226,000 will be obligated at the time of the award. The amount of $51,108,836 will expire at the end of FY. The remaining amount will not expire at the end of FY.

This contract was competitively procured via the SAM.gov website, with three offers received.
