NAVFAC MIDLANT Awards $975 Million Multiple-Award Construction Contract Supporting Marine Corps Installations East
From Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic Public Affairs
NORFOLK, VA – Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT) awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award construction contract with a cumulative maximum value of $975 million to support general construction requirements across Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST) and other locations within the command’s area of responsibility.
The contract will provide a broad range of construction services to sustain, modernize and improve facilities that support Navy and Marine Corps readiness throughout the MIDLANT region, with work primarily performed within MCIEAST.
The contract includes a base ordering period and four option years, with work anticipated to be completed by September 2031.
As part of the award, the initial task order, valued at approximately $22.9 million, was issued for construction of a new Special Operations Forces armory building at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. Fiscal year (FY) 2026 military construction (Navy) funds were obligated at the time of award and will not expire at the end of the current FY.
The contract was awarded to 11 construction firms. In accordance with contract requirements, the 10 remaining awardees will each receive a $5,000 minimum contract guarantee and will have the opportunity to compete for future task orders issued under the contract.
Future task orders will be funded primarily through military construction and operations and maintenance appropriations, depending on project requirements. Contract holders will compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the contract.
This contract was competitively procured via the SAM.gov website, with 15 proposals received.
